That New Phone Smell

A new purple phone in my hands,
I lightly tap the screen,
still sporting the plastic protector,
reminding me "please don't text and drive".

That vibrating in my pocket
is like an old friend.
The message received,
actually is an old friend.

I'm once again connected to the world,
people seem so interested in me,
texting and calling
this new purple phone in my hands.
