Author's note-For our rapid write we listed qualities about a person and an inanimate object, then wrote a poem about both at the same time.
Complicated, beautiful
difficult, and creative.
Lips must be positioned
just right.
Such a child
so vunerable and prized.
But one scratch,
one tiny scratch,
will cost an arm and a leg
to get rid of.
Once secured to my neck
now placed safely in a case
My dream come true
will never know the real me.
